Congratulations! You did it! You pulled off your dream wedding at Tribeca Rooftop + 360° in NYC, and you’re free to live happily ever after! But wait- not so fast. Have you really completed everything you need to to officially start this next chapter of your life? Here are a few quick reminders to help you tie up any loose ends left over from your big day.

Thank Yous

Thank you notes are an absolute must following any wedding or social event. Showing that you appreciate your guests’ time, presence, and possibly presents isn’t just proper etiquette, it’s the right thing to do. Proper etiquette states that you have three months to send out your thank you notes, and depending on your guest list, it may take that long, however it’s always a good idea to get started as early as possible while the event is fresh in your mind. People will appreciate the gratitude sooner than later, and you can check one more thing off your to-do list without stressing about it.

Return To Vendors

Did you rent linens, china and silverware, or floral displays for your event? Check your contracts- you may be responsible for returning what you borrowed to your vendor. Whether you bring it yourself or hire a service to transport it for you, don’t forget to make arrangements to have it picked up so you don’t incur any late fees!

Patience

Are you anxiously awaiting your wedding photos? This is common, but remember to be patient with your photographer, as they edit your treasured memories and assemble an album of the very best shots from your event. You hired your photographer because of their skills at wedding photography, so allow them time to work their magic. Your photographer should be able to quote you a time frame to expect proofs following your wedding, so please keep that time frame in mind when waiting for your memories to arrive.

Reviews

Did you have an awesome wedding? Tell the world about it by writing a positive review on sites like Google, Yelp, Wedding Wire, and The Knot. Did something go awry? Give the vendor a chance to make it right before leaving a negative review. Calmly reach out to someone in charge and explain the situation. Your vendors want you to have a wonderful experience, and most will work with you to find a solution, even after the event.

Relax

Now that your big day is over, it’s time to relax! Planning a wedding is a lot of fun, but let's be honest it can be very stressful, too! Enjoy your honeymoon, or book you and your new spouse a day at the spa, complete with a couple’s massage or facial, and strengthen your bond as you feel the stress and tension melt away.
